The Capital Area Food Bank’s 7th annual Empty Bowls event was an enormous success, raising over $12,400 to help feed children, seniors and families struggling with hunger in our community – that’s over 30,000 meals!
Empty Bowls could not have been a success this year without the support of our gracious donors who pitched in to provide specialty soups, freshly baked breads and handcrafted ceramic bowls. The coming together of restaurants, artists and the community helped shine a light on hunger issues in the Washington metro area.
