Whole Foods Market customers display generosity in check-out campaign to combat hunger
Washington, DC (03/08/18) — Earlier this year, Whole Foods Market locations around the region wrapped up their Feed4More fundraising campaign. For the campaign, Washington Metropolitan area Whole Foods Markets teamed up with Capital Area Food Bank – a Feeding America member food bank – to raise $57,000. This is enough to provide 142,500 meals for neighbors in need.
“We are so grateful to Whole Foods Markets and their customers” said CAFB’s Head of NoVa Partnerships and Food Bank Events, Maria Booker. “When companies and grocers like Whole Foods Market host campaigns like this, they offer a platform for a community response to hunger. It’s so great to see that and giving individuals the opportunity to be part of something big.”
In addition to this recent campaign, Whole Foods Markets around the region regularly support Capital Area Food Bank and the food bank’s network of partner agencies with food donations.
