The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the Capital Area Food Bank are partnering, once again, for Feds Feed Families. We’re inviting all Federal agencies, including Field components, to join us! Beginning in summer, Federal employees will come together to nourish communities nationally. This year’s Feds Feed Families campaign will run from June 26 through August 9, 2019. Federal employees are asked to participate by donating food and volunteering with the food bank.
The donations from the Feds Feed Families Food Drive are especially important, because they come at a time of year when donations traditionally decline.
Since the campaign began in 2009, Federal workers have donated and collected nearly 80 million pounds of food and other non-perishable items to support families at risk of hunger across America. Last year, more than 17.9 million pounds of food were collected. Agencies are encouraged this year to set their own goals again and beat their previous best!
Goal: 500,000 Pounds Donated
