Through its annual Round Up Hunger campaign, Safeway is once again proving that a little change can go a long way toward helping those in need. This is how the campaign works. When Safeway customers throughout the Washington metro area are checking out at the cash register, they will be able to round up their grocery bills to the nearest dollar amount, with the change automatically donated to the Capital Area Food Bank. Last year, the food bank received $86,000 in donations and we are hoping that this year’s campaign will be even more successful.
So, during your next visit to a Safeway in your neighborhood, please take advantage of this unique opportunity to Round Up Hunger and help someone in need. Thank you, Safeway, for making a big difference in the lives of our neighbors facing hunger.
