Forty years ago, on Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s birthday, a group of interfaith leaders from across the region opened the doors of the Capital Area Food Bank. It was a privilege to join our community on January 21st in honoring Dr. King’s life and legacy as we kicked off our 40th year – and as we strive to do every day. We’re deeply proud to serve this community, and never more so than when we’re reminded that the roots of that service lie in the pursuit of justice.
This is just the start of an exciting year of activities commemorating 40 years of service to the community! Sign up for the CAFB Fresh News newsletter to hear stories from our community and to stay up-to-date on events and more. You can also click here to see more ways to get involved.
